Job Title: Physician Pediatrics Outpatient Hospitalist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Pediatrics Physician to join our team as an Outpatient Hospitalist. In this role, you will provide specialized care to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting and contribute to their overall well-being. As a Pediatrics Outpatient Hospitalist, you will diagnose and treat various medical conditions, ensure proper follow-up care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote patient health. Your expertise, empathy, and dedication will play a vital role in shaping the healthcare experience of our youngest patients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Evaluate and provide primary care to pediatric patients in an outpatient hospital setting.

- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and accurately diagnose medical conditions.

- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, including the prescription of medications and therapies.

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and ancillary staff, to ensure holistic care for patients.

- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes in an accessible manner.

- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to aid in diagnosis and monitor treatment progress.

- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records of patient encounters, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information.

- Provide appropriate counseling and support for patients and their families regarding health maintenance, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications.

- Stay up-to-date with latest developments in pediatric medicine, attending conferences and continuing medical education (CME) activities.

- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, such as participating in peer reviews and clinical audits.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.

- Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics.

- Valid license to practice as a Physician in the state where the position is located.

- Proven experience in providing outpatient pediatric care, preferably within a hospitalist model.

- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of child development, growth, and behavior.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively interact with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

- Empathy, compassion, and patience to address the physical and emotional needs of young patients.

- Ability to interpret medical information and make sound decisions for accurate diagnoses and appropriate treatment plans.

- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.

- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and computer proficiency.
